Lou Reed - an American rock singer, guitarist, record producer, photographer, and songwriter who started
in Velvet Underground in the 1960s - 1970s. Some subjects of his songs were transvestites, drugs, and transsexuals. He was an artist in the following genres:
rock, gothic rock, art rock, protopunk, noise rock, glam rock, hard rock, folk-rock, experimental rock,
alternative rock, shoegazing (shoegaze, shoegazer, shoegazers).
He started in Velvet Underground with attention from Andy Warhol as a mentor figure. Albums with The Velvet Underground include: The Velvet Underground and Nico,
